well kids, i did it. in attempting to upgrade to wordpress to try to avoid the comment spam that has been running rampant, i managed to complete fuck the blog.

its all gone. all archives, all posts. everything. and i dont think i have even a partial backup somewhere. because i am an IDIOT.

so we get to start from scratch.

maybe i should retitle the blog..change my name, get some wild and crazy design so the site. i can reinvent myself!

    All is not yet lost (unless you completely wiped the database as well). Take down WP, re-install your previous software, and export your previous entries (most likely it will save them as a text file). Then you can take it down again, re-install WP, and import your archives.

    If you wiped the database as well, there is a pretty good chance your host has a backup of it. You may lose the most recent entries, but it can’t hurt to email them and ask.
