Spaz Spaz Revolution

Last night, i got myself a Christmas present. One ive been wanting, but have felt too silly to buy.

But, I mentioned it to Brandus, the Great Enabler, and he called around and found me one, and about an hour later, i was the proud owner of Dance Dance Revolution, including dance pad.

Naturally, i HAD to try it right then, and made a big huge fool out of myself trying not to step on cats or trip over my own feet, and basically spazzed my way through a few levels.

and this tripping and spazzing? Was while the game was set on “beginner” at a speed of “2”. *facepalm*

but im getting better! and the workout level has so much better music than some of the other levels.

will take pictures of myself being a spaz later.

Harmless Panicked Flailing

It is finals week. not for me, but for my students.

“Miss, what can i do to bring up my grade?!”

You could trying turing in something. Or even coming to class, that might be a nice change for you.

and OMG, how insane is my workload right now?

I already have 3 IEPs to finish, as well as filling out (by hand) a progress report for each and every one of the kids on my caseload.

and ive been busy this week, because we had a big meeting a few weeks ago to discuss one students possibilities of graduation, and the fact that he HAD NO CHANCE, so lets send him to the transition program so he can actually learn useful skills. we’ve discussed this with parents, with the student, with ALL OF HIS TEACHERS so they wouldnt mind me pulling him during Final Reviews so he could go check out the program this week.

I just got a phone call.

Techinally, if he passes EVERYTHING, he could graduate in 2 years, barely making the age 21 deadline.

so, now that he and his parents are getting excited about this placement, and the fact that HE MISSED HIS FINAL REVIEWS BECAUSE HE WAS AT THE PROGRAM, he now has to pass all of his classes, and by the way, he cant go and would i mind telling him?

*clutches hair*

and we have our secret pal christmas party tomorrow, and ive got nothing, a potluck lunch with the speds on thursday, and i have nothing, foodwise or other, and i have to have all grades in and progress reports completed and IEPs done AND turned in by FRIDAY.

*collapses*

PS. ive heard fabulous things about Return of the King: EE, and WE WANTS IT PRECIOUS. am so tempted to go get it as a present for me RIGHT NOW, but i have hope i will recieve it for Christmas, plus, am broke and cannot afford it. WANT.

Living With Martha

One thing I dont recall asking for for Christmas is anything Martha Stewart related, including anything from kmart with her name on it.

So when i opened my mailbox to discover a copy of Matha Stewart Living, I checked the address label to see who was supposed to get it, because obviously, it had been put in the wrong box.

It has my name and address on it.

In my shock, I dropped it.

At which point, it crawled in my apartment, redecorated my Christmas tree, cooked a seven course meal, and gave me advice on insider trading.

I finally got it to stop by piling assorted clashing clothes on top of it.

And to think, i get to go through this once a month.

Thanks, Mom. Its just what I always wanted. *cringe*

Dear Santa..

I know you might think its silly, but this would make me very happy to see under my tree on Christmas Day.

We put up our tree several days ago, and already there has been an ornament casualty because of cats.

just a small one, and no cuts on my feet, so we will let it slide with only some glares and yelling.

ill take some pics of it later.
