See Me Weird

I wonder how screenwriters decide to use Michael Jackson in a random movie part?

really, think about it.

MIB 2 was just on, and Michael plays a wanna be agent. He is on screen for about 2 minutes, with a voice appearence of about 10 seconds later.

Michael is also in the new Scary Movie. Now, i havent seen it, but in the preview, Mike and Charlie Sheen shriek at each other. its pretty damn funny, and the only thing that makes me actually want to watch the movie.

so how is it decided to put someone like Mike in a movie? even for a cameo? i just cant figure it out.

is it planned?

does Mike’s agent have to call a bunch of people everyday? “Want Michael in your movie?”

or is it all the screenwriters, casting agents, etc?

“We need someone famous to play an alien passing as human. Lets get Michael Jackson!”

“We need someone to scream in fear while falling out a window. Call Michael Jackson!”

“We need someone to play a scarecrow in an all black musical. Call Mi–wait, you said black?”

im going to hell for that last remark. but im not the only one who’s ever said anything like that, so at least ill be in good company.

Tea and Scones

This saga starts a few night ago..Sunday night, to be exact.

Let us follow our heroine, as she leaps from the shower to grab the ringing phone.

“Hello?” she gasps, and only then realizes whose number was on the caller ID.

*scary music plays*

“Hi alli! This is your mother…why arent you answering your phone?”

“Because I didnt want to get electrocuted and die.”

“What?”

“I was in the shower, Mom.”

“Oh. Well, I think we need to talk about The Wedding.”

A vague feeling of dread overcomes our heroine, and a shiver runs up her back. Part of the shiver is from the fact she has no clothes on, but most of it involves the dread she always feels when her mother wants to Talk About The Wedding.

“I think we might have a problem with the location.”

“Why? I thought we already had the Farm booked for the night. Doesnt that include downstairs for the ceremony?”

“Well..Im just not happy with it.”

alia’s eyes begain to cross in frustration, as this is a familer conversation..she begins to tune out..

“I’m not sleeping well…I wake up at night and cant get back to sleep because Im so stressed out over The Wedding..The Farm might be pretty, but the Church is so much prettier…your dress deserves to have a setting that really shows it off…we can get candles for the alter..I went to a wedding at the Church last week and they did…What if it rains at the Farm?..We dont have a tent..and everyone Ive talked to says that tents are a big hassle..*sniffs, gets choked up* Im just trying to make this wonderful for you…I would be so much more comfortable if we did this at the Church…”

alia gives in. the guilt trip has spoken.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
2 Nights later, alia calls back. by this point, she has discussed the problem with both sisters, the fiancee, and the best friend. varying advice is given..from saying “NO!” to sweet talking.
No one could have predicted what came next.
all alia wants to do is relax and watch Finding Nemo..Brandus insists on her calling her mother..
filled with terror, she calls…and…..her father answers.
Mom isnt home.
Daddy understands.
Daddy thinks the Farm would be pretty.
Daddy will talk to Mom for Alia.
Alia is filled with relief..even knowing that the father, in all his infinite wisdom, might have no effect on the stubborn mother.
Whew.
Haunted
So ive been thinking, as today is Halloween and all, about hauntings.
ive heard a lot of stories about creepy things, real haunted houses, and seeing ghosts.
ive never seen one.
ive been in the most haunted place in Scotland, done tons of ghost walks and things, and yet, have never experienced one haunting experience. frankly, im disappointed.
ive always had a sneaking suspicion that i repelled all things cool. yes, ladies and gentlemen, i am a psychic barrier.
the closest ive come to something weird happeneing was a ouija board experience at one of the sister’s slumber party..we were in the bathroom (cause where better to summon ghosts, right?), and asked for a sign of a spirit. the candle (on the counter, out of a draft, not close enough to any girl) goes out, screaming ensues and i sleep with my parents for a week.
there were always rumors at my old job, the one the sister and the fiance still work..it used to be a hospital a long time ago, and people have seen all kinds of things.
other than refusing to go into the boys bathroom and the rocking chair catching my eye every once in a while during overnight shifts, i never saw a thing.
and i blame the bathroom thing and the rocking chair thing on people telling me stuff..well, the rocking chair anyway. the bathroom was just creepy. i think it wanted to eat people. some of the boys refused to use it. at all. they would rather wet the bed.
but people have told stories. about their houses, others, night time weirdness…
so my question is: have you ever seen anything? or are you like me, the psychic equivilent of a brick wall?
Spoooky
Occansionaly, i will get some odd thought into my head and obsess about it. usually, its some stressor or the stuff i need to get done the next day or something i forgot to do.
last night, i couldnt remember how to tie a karate belt.
and it bothered me.
now, i havent taken a serious karate class in..um..about 3 years, and im not exactly planning on running right out and signing up (although that mainly has to do with the fact there are no decent schools in easy driving distance), but last night i was really concerned about the fact i forgot how to tie a belt, should i ever again need to.
yes, it has been confirmed. alia is a freak.
ive also had the intro song to “Bring It On” stuck in my head. so im mentally tying belts and singing, “Im sexy, im cute, im popular to boot!”
that song is the best part of the whole movie. its just funny. Bring It On even has its very own site here. hee.
and tonight, on Joan of Arcadia (which is actually a decent show, and im not just saying that cause one of the mains is disabled), God tells Joan to committ social suicide and go out for cheerleading. The name of the ep is “Bringith it on”. *snort*
so please remember (yes, i looked it up. shut up):
I’m sexy, I’m cute,
I’m popular to boot.
I’m bitch-in’, great hair,
The boys all love to stare.
I’m wanted, I’m hot,
I’m everything you’re not.
I’m pretty, I’m cool,
I dominate the school.
Who am I? Just guess!
Guys wanna touch my chest!
I’m rockin’, I smile,
If anything I’m vile.
I’m flyin’, I jump,
You can look but
Don’t you hump.
Whoo!
I’m major, I roar,
I swear I’m not a whore!
We cheer and we lead,
We act like we’re on speed.
You hate us ’cause we’re beautiful,
Well we don’t like you either,
We’re cheerleaders!
best.fucking.part.
