They told you to wait until 36 weeks? We were scolded for not doing them by 25 weeks.

Anyway, I agree with you that WTEWYE is a crock when it comes to nutrition. That woman has issues. I saw in the library that she wrote a book about what kids can expect when they go to preschool and I could just imagine her screaming DON'T EAT THE SNACKS! DON'T EAT THE SNACKS!

My pregnancy wasn't as bad as yours, but hello, constant nausea for six months, and hello, stabbing gallbladder pain for a different six months that often triggered back muscle spasms. And I could mention the pre-eclampsia and FAILED epidural, but I'm trying to grow past that bitterness.

So yeah, I would love to have some of the classic pregnancy experiences that I missed having, like realizing I was pregnant before I got sick so I had a chance to enjoy it and associate it with something other than "oh hell, I'm stuck feeling like this, how am I going to go to work?" Or having someone throw me a shower who didn't work with me and thus feel obligated. Or decorating a nursery instead of just piling stuff in a room until my mother despaired and cleaned it up so there'd be a place for the baby to sleep.

Do I want those enough to be pregnant again? Hells no. I feel like you do - if we want another kid and nobody shows up in a basket on the doorstep, why not just adopt? Luckily, my husband doesn't want me to be pregnant again either, but he's afraid of adoption.

And I want to raise a girl. Le sigh.

p.s. Butterfly wings. Bwahahahahaha.

I'm never having children. Ever. And that's not just the PMS talking, or the fact that Himself doesn't want to even discuss starting the process, though we agree we want an end-product by my 32nd birthday.

Just saying.

Stick to your guns, it's your body and no one else's. Adoption's wonderful, except when it's not (but we're not talking about alcoholic birth mothers who try to drink themselves to death), and just know I'll stand by you, no matter what. Because you proof my gay porn.
